A. Instructions to change foreign driver's license to IAA international license for use in Vietnam

1. Conditions for the foreigner to be granted an IAA international license from an international driver's license for use in Vietnam provided that the foreigner stays in Vietnam for less than 3 months (applicable to service users who are foreigners in Hanoi)

According to the latest regulations, if you are: a person with Vietnamese nationality, a person with foreign nationality or a person with both Vietnamese and foreign nationality and fully meets the following conditions, you are allowed to: change a foreign driver's license to an international IAA:

a. You must have a driver's license for a car or motorcycle (which is a valid license) within the expiry date and the license must be intact, not erased, broken or damaged.

b. You must have enough valid identification documents such as passport, visa, temporary residence card in Vietnam, foreigners must be at a clear address in Vietnam, etc. and not related to an case of breaking the law in Vietnam.

2. Procedures or documents that you (as a foreigner) need to prepare:

• Take a photo of 2 sides of a foreign driver's license. Take the photo of the side containing personal information on the passport

• A4 paper containing sample signatures of foreigners (you use your phone to to take the photo of the signature you write on A4 paper, then send it to us via zalo or Viber app)

* Some notes when you are a foreigner who wants to change into an IAA international driver's license to use in Vietnam:

- You can choose the valid duration which is from 1 to 20 years.

- Your document of stay in Vietnam must be short-term (visa or temporary residence document of foreigners in Vietnam with a term of 1 to 3 months.)

• Step 3: You leave the correct address so that the ADI Company Office can send the new license to your address when the new one is available.

b. Expenses:

• If you want to change to an IAA international degree with the valid duration of 1 year and expected 9 days to receive the new one, the cost will be: VND 1,700,000

• If you want to change to an IAA international degree, 3 year valid duration and 9 days to receive the new one, the cost will be: VND 1,900,000

• If you want to change to an IAA international degree, 5 year valid duration and 9 days to receive the new one, the cost will be: VND 2,100,000

• If you want to change to an IAA international degree, 10 year valid duration, 9 days to receive the new one, the cost will be: VND 2 ,500,000

• If you want to change to an IAA international degree, 20 year valid duration, 9 days to receive the new one, the cost will be: VND 3,000,000

B. Instructions for changing a foreign driver's license to a Vietnamese driver's license

1. Procedures for changing foreign driver's license to Vietnamese valid one for foreigners in Hanoi:
